Scientists found traces of new satellites

Due to astronomical research, the scientists can not detect new satellites even long-known planets. For example, in July 2018 at the gas giant Jupiter was found as many as 12 new satellites, and now their total number is 79 - more than any other planet of the solar system. Undiscovered satellites may even be at the Earth - it is believed that it was "kordylewski cloud", the existence of which has not yet been fully proven. It seems that researchers from the University of Budapest was able to find sufficient evidence to this assumption.

Scientists found traces of new satellites

These clouds were first discovered by scientist Kazimierz Kordylevskim in 1961. They are located at points Langradzha L4 and L5, gravitational waves created Earth and the Moon. Study dust clouds have not been conducted since the Kordylevskogo, but in 2018 they were resumed. The aim of the scientists was the discovery of the possibility of their existence in the presence of solar winds, capable of destroying them.

To conduct the study, a team of scientists has constructed a mathematical model containing the Sun, Earth, Moon and clouds of dust. She used special equipment of personal Observatory researcher Judith Shliz Balog (Judit Slíz-Balogh) and followed the polarization of sunlight passing through the point Langradzha. Due to frequent cloud nights investigation dragged on for several months. As a result, astronomers have discovered that the polarization of the rays at the point L5 is 20%. In their view, near the Moon are just two dust clouds, but at the moment their age is unknown.

Researchers believe they have found the best way to detect "kordylewski cloud." However, it should be remembered that other telescopes have not found evidence of their existence, although kordylewski cloud of interest to many scientists. For example, the SETI organization believes that their study might help in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.
