Strange fungus mutinus
The kingdom of fungi includes from 100 000 to 250 000 species that were able to take its place in all biological niches - in the water and on land, in soil and on all sorts of other substrates. Among them there are mushroom, very unusual in appearance, - mutinus. The most common representatives of this type are mutinus caninus and mutinus ravenelii. Both the fungus survive two stages: first, when they have an egg shape ( "witches 'eggs') and the second when they break in half and there is a hollow cylindrical spongy" leg "with a pointed tip with a thin small tubercles.
During maturation of the tip is covered by brown slime olive cellular attracting insects. It should gnaw insect Hleb (the inner part of the fruiting body with an unpleasant odor), the tip of the fruiting body turns orange and then all the fruit body starts to decompose quickly; after three or four days there is nothing left of the fungus.
