The amazing natural optical illusions
Optical Illusions - not an uncommon phenomenon, the Internet can be found in abundance. But there are some illusions that you can see only, leaving outside of the house and being on nature. As is the nature of these creates an optical illusion, from which simply breathtaking?
Valley Dedvley Nomibii in
It's like a surrealistic painting. Located in the National Park Namib-Naukluft National Park, Dedvley valley is dotted with a variety of long-dead trees, which are not decayed because of the dry climate in this place. Lifeless land once filled with water from a nearby river Tsauhab attract photographers who are struck by the contrast between the white surface of the valley and black sun-scorched trees. Sand dunes that surround the valley, painted in shades of orange incredible, especially during sunrise and sunset, which makes the area even more scenic view.
"underwater waterfall" in the Indian Ocean
While underwater waterfalls do exist, there is simply an illusion it creates sandy sediments, extending along the coast of the island of Mauritius.
Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia
The largest salt marsh in the world is transformed into a giant reflective surface when coated with a thin layer of water, either due to rains or due to flood nearby lakes. Stretching for several kilometers completely flat surface seems endless. This allows photographers to create the illusion of playing with the depth of the image and prospects.
Each year, approximately the second week of February, the rays of the setting sun fall at a certain angle to the waterfall "horse's tail" in Yosemite National Park, covering the top of the waterfall. Under favorable weather conditions, sunlit water glows bright orange and red, and it sounds as if it burns.
Wavy Mountains of Arizona
On the northern slope of the site Coyote Buttes, Paria Canyon, is a curved depression called "The Wave". However, to see this amazing sight, you will need to take part in the draw and get permission for four months in advance. On the day here allowed only 20 people.
It is also known as the "mountain ghost", this phenomenon occurs when the observer cast a shadow on the surface of the clouds and dense fog. Head "ghost" is often surrounded by a halo of rainbow - another optical phenomenon known as Gloria.
This is a complex, rapidly changing shape of upper mirage. Optical illusion is created when light is refracted by passing through a layer of air, which is warmer than the layer below it. As a result of reflection and refraction, actually existing objects or shapes appear on the horizon or on top of a few distorted images partially overlapping and rapidly changing over time, and that creates a bizarre picture Fata Morgana.
The lower mirages
In contrast to the Fata Morgana, lower mirages created when the air above the surface of the ocean or the earth much warmer than the air above it. Light passing through these air layers, curved, inverted creating distorted images of distant landscape (e.g., a distant mountain range or a blue sky), which appear under the object itself.
The puddle on the pavement
This phenomenon is another example of an inferior mirage. As the sand in the desert, a paved road traps heat and warms the air directly above it. Imaginary sky image thus creates the illusion of water on the surface. So, on the road receding into the distance on a hot summer day is seen puddle.
false sun, or sun dog - an unusual natural phenomenon, which manifests itself in the appearance of the sky a few suns. There is an unusual phenomenon due refractive sunlight ice crystals floating in the atmosphere.
