Tony Petrello and Family Help Out Philanthropic Organizations and Bring In Guests for Parties Like Tommy Tune

When returning to your hometown, there is not always necessarily a welcoming committee. In the case of Tommy Tune, when he returned to Houston to perform at the Miller Outdoor Theatre, there was a welcoming committee. He was greeted by Nabors CEO, Tony Petrello and his wonderful wife, Cynthia.

Tony and Cynthia had made arrangements for 50 people to gather at their home to celebrate the arrival of the Broadway star. He was back in town to put on a show for 5,000 fans.

Returning to Houston was bittersweet for Tommy, considering he lived there for his childhood upbringing. He left for NYC to become a Broadway star and had prepared himself by first taking dance classes under the direction of Patsy Swayze. A famous name that pulls weight in the dancing committee and more so because of her son, Patrick.

Tommy is from the Houston area and was there to perform for over 5,000 fans of his in the Houston area. Before Tommy had left the Houston area for NYC, Tommy had went to Patsy Swayze to obtain dance lessons which would aid him in NYC for auditions on Broadway. For most people, the name is familiar because of the relationship between Patsy and her son, Patrick Swayze.

Tommy had grown up in the Houston area and graduated from Lamar High School. He went through high school knowing that when he finally graduated, he would head off to NYC.

Tony Petrello has always been into giving back to his community and in order to do that, Tony and his wife are constantly donating time and money into various philanthropic causes. One of the main causes is due to the birth of their daughter.

When Cynthia was pregnant, early onset labor caused her to deliver her daughter at 24 weeks. She weighed under 20 ounces and suffered from PVL. It was this that caused her to develop Cerebral Palsy.

Upon the birth and the NICU stay, Cynthia and Tony decided that they wanted to help others to find a cure to many underlying health conditions. The Petrello’s have helped to raise over $5 million dollars to help fund research for the cure of many health illnesses and diseases as well as ailments.

When Hurricane Harvey happened, the Nabors decided to help out others in their area. They decided then to match the money that was raised and Tony Petrello decided to match dollar for dollar of the money earned to help support those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
