A 23-year-old protagonist Canadian called Scott Pilgrim, a slacker, hero, wannabe-rockstar, is living in Toronto and playing bass in the band "Sex Bob-Omb." • Edgar Wright said that he couldn't have thought of a more perfect person for the role of Ramona.

• Both Mary and Edgar Wright worked on the same film, Grindhouse. Wright directed a fake trailer for the movie, whereas Mary starred in Quentin Tarantino's, Death Proof.
